Spring Cleaning: Part 1

Spring time is here!! It’s time for new beginnings. The weather is getting warmer, the sun is beginning to shine a little brighter, the trees are starting to get greener and the flowers are coming out! There is a sense of freshness in the air! Because it is a new season and we are four months into the 2021, it is a great time to reflect on where you are right now. Most of us use spring as a time to clean out the old to get ready to take on the new. We clean out our closet, mop our floors a little extra and do a deep clean of our houses. What would happen if you used some of this time to spring clean your life and declutter the areas of your life that need a little extra love? I want to share with you a few different area of your life that I want you to focus on and get to some spring cleaning!

The first step in spring cleaning your life is to assess. What is currently working? What isn’t working? Who in your life is making you unproductive or unhappy? In what areas of your life are your excelling in? What areas of your life need some work? Do this in the most nonjudgmental way you can! The point of this practice is just to get information.

Area 1 to declutter: Your home or your office. Its important to take pride in your space because it holds energy! You are a product of your environment. If your home or office space is a mess, it is no surprise that your feel stressed and anxious every time you walk into that space! Take some time to clean it up and organize!

Area 2 to declutter: Declutter your thoughts. You home isn’t the only thing that is filled with stuff you don’t need. What we fill our our time with affects us. Maybe we read too much gossip on celebrities or we watch the news every single morning. It is time to focus on YOU! Take time to journal, mediate, create mantras that fill your head with positive self talk.
